This field integrates Spelling to Communicate (S2C) with strategic motor coaching to help individuals build the gross motor skills needed to point to letters, spell on letterboards, and progress toward typing on a keyboard.
Many individuals know what they want to say but cannot consistently rely on speech or fine motor output to express their thoughts.

Geared toward the Neurodivergent, focused on building blocks for communication, regulation & motor control. Neurodivergent describes individuals whose brains process, learn, or communicate in ways that differ from what’s considered typical. This can include differences in areas like movement, communication, attention, or sensory processing.
Geared toward the athlete, focused on building blocks for high performance athleticism and training. Neurotypical describes individuals whose brain development and functioning generally align with common expectations in those same areas. These programs are geared for athletes.
These terms are not labels of ability or intelligence. They simply reflect different ways the brain organizes and expresses itself.
Understanding this difference helps shift the focus from “fixing” individuals to supporting how they naturally learn, move, and communicate.
